Abstract

Study on the effect of 17-oc-methyltestosterone treatment to the growth of rainbow fish (Melanotaenia boesemani) size 3.0 - 3.2 cm in length and 0.44 - 0.46 gram in weight was been done. The study showed that foodstuf with zeero, 3, 6 and 9 mghormone/kg have no difference significant to the growth (<0.05), food conversion, and survival rate.

 

Abstrak

Penelitian tentang pemberian hormon 17-a-metiltestosteron dengan dosis 0, 3, 6, dan 9 mg/kg pakan untuk memacu pertumbuhan ikan pelangi Irian (Melanotaenia boesemani) berukuran panjang 3,0 - 3,2 cm dan berat 0,44 - 0,46 gram telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian honnon dengan dosis 0, 3, 6, dan 9 mg/kg pakan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata terliadap pertnmbuhannya (<0,05), begitu pula terhadap konversi makanan dan tingkat kelangsungan hidupnya.
