Abstract

The fish fauna of Kapuas basin has been intensively studied by many scientist, they found a lot of new species from the area which is belongs to Kalimantan Barat Province. On the contrary of Kapuas basin, it seems that the scientist is not interested to Kendawangan basin which is also lies in Kalimantan Barat Province. In fact, there was only one preliminary research in this Muara Kendawangan Nature Reserve area. Iktiofauna research was conducted at the area of Muara Kendawangan Reserve Nature in 2000. This research activity successfully collected 40 fish species which is belong to 14 familia The result from the previous studies of this area also discussed.
