Abstract

This research was held on October 2011 until January 2012 in Ir. H. Djuanda Reservoir, West Java, in order to describe some aspects of Midas cichlid (Amphilophus citrinellus) growth, such as length-weight relationship, condition factor, and growth constant (K). The samples were captured from six stations using 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, and 3.5 inches mesh sized of gill nets. The captured samples were separated in accordance to the stations, then the fish size and weight were measured. The total of fish captured were 460 individuals from six sampling stations. Total length of the captured fishes ranged from 62-210 mm and body weight is 4.81-187.18 gram. Midas cichlids are positive allometric. The condition factor varied depending on periods and stations. The growth formula for Midas cichlid was Lt= 215.78 (1-e'039 (t+025)).

Pola pertumbuhan ikan oskar ada-lah alometrik positif. Faktor kondisi ikan oskar bervariasi berdasarkan waktu dan stasiun pengamatan. Persamaan pertumbuhan panjang ikan oskar mengikuti formula Lt= 215,78 (1-e-0,39 (t+0,25)).
